Panicking that I wouldn't be able to go to Ireland - tragic.

Not having any veins, so it seems - amusing. Blood test taking nearly an hour thanks to that and phenomenally low blood pressure - less so. Catheter needles - really bloody long!

Only person on the surgery ward allowed to eat (to test whether it was appendicitis - apparently if it was I'd have vomited pea-green a la Exorcist) - awkward.

Finding out it's just my ovaries trying to kill me - Priceless.

Browsing through the HP Lexicon forums (... I do strange things when I'm procrastinating) I found this little gem in a discussion of colours dating back to Book 6:

There was a Death Eater named Evan Rosier whom Mad-eye supposedly killed. The problem is his name: EVAN ROSIER. Evan is connected to "Evanesco!" the vanishing spell, and the word "evanesce", which means to disappear like champagne bubbles (bubbles mean disappearances). Then there's his last name, Rosier. Rosier, as in more pink!  - n.b this theorist reckons round, spider and pink all = secrets - If you put these together, that means he may have secretly disappeared. I think it was Sirius that commented that Mad-eye NEVER KILLED if he could help it.

I tend to go by name meanings rather than connections to spells, and I've always broken Evan Rosier down as Evan = Celtic for Young Warrior (which he kind of qualifies as, y/n?) / Greek meaning "of noble birth" (erm, pureblood) and Rosier = patron devil of seduction who tempts mortals to act foolishly (which my Evan definitely does). 

... I just thought it was an interesting theory. Makes me wonder; if that was what JK intended, what's the story? 

*cue AU speculation about Evan as an informant under witness protection or something, heh. Never going to happen to my lad, but it makes one ponder...*
